I got myself a GIZZU 60W 65Wh 17600mAh Mini POE DC UPS. They are quite pricey but really helpful.
I think the nicest thing about this device is that it is completely quiet. Most UPSs are very noisy and make a buzzing sound. This one makes no sounds at all, even if you put your ear right on it.
I was able to put my ethernet network switch, fibre (Huawei) and wifi (Afrihost d-Link) all on it and it lasts for hours and hours.
It did not have enough cables so I had to buy one of these:
It stays on all the time and you do not have to ever touch it again. It is a true UPS. Plug in all the connectors and it automatically keeps everything working when the power goes out.
Remember to please do the right thing with your old equipment and send it for recycling or repurpose it. Here are some sites I know:
